At the RGS with IBG Conference 2026, held at the Royal Geographical Society in London, 2-4th September, Chiara Certomà and Giorgio Garofani (Sapienza University of Rome, MEMOTEF Dep., CO>SEA group) and Federico Fornaro (Raw-News), in collaboration with the EU project PartArt4OW are present with the following contributions:
- On the 3rd of September, Giorgio Garofani and Chiara Certomà and Federico Fornaro are giving a presentation titled “European Harbours between blue economy exploitations and grassroot political resistance of blue society” in the session “Towards Just Blue Places: Blue Economies, Equitable Futures and Resilience in Times of Climate Change” (Session convenors: Madeleine Gustavsson (Ruralis – Institute for Rural and Regional Research), Christine Knott (San Diego State University), Rita Moseng Sivertsvik (Ruralis – Institute for Rural and Regional Research).
- On the 4th of September 2026, Chiara Certomà and Federico Fornaro are giving a presentation titled “Plastisphere in Chthulucene. “Staying with the problem” in oceanic natureculture assemblages” in the session “Attuning to More-than-human Seas: Negotiating Multispecies Justice in the Anthropocene Ocean” (Session Organisers: Hannah Dickinson (University of Manchester) and Anja Rossmanith (University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt).
- On the 4th of September 2026, Chiara Certomà (Sapienza University of Rome, MEMOTEF Dep.) is presenting the video-documentary “CoSea. Critical Visions from the Sea”, produced by Raw-News Visual Production Agency, directed by Federico Fornaro and filmed by Federico Fornaro and Giuseppe Lupinacci, with the support of Sapienza University of Rome Third Mission 2025 and the EU project PartArt4OW. The documentary is presented and discussed during the “Film Geography” session.
