The new article "The New Categories for the Analysis of Global/Local Dynamics. A Contribution to the Global Production Networks" by Gemmiti,Benetti, Certomà, Martellozzo is now out in the Bollettino della Società Geografica Italiana.

On 28 December 2023 at the Molo Innocenziano in Anzio (Rome), Italy, at 3.00 pm, the European project “SeaPaCS. Citizen-Scientist against plastic in the sea”, supported by European funds from the IMPETUS4CS project, will deliver to the fishermen of Anzio from the “Concordia” and “Fanciulla d'Anzio” cooperatives the DUWO reusable fish boxes.

The edited book "Blue Kinships. An exploration of Society & the Ocean relationship" (provisional title) I am working together with international scientists, activists and artists, under contract with Palgrave MacMillan - Geography Series (expected to be out in May 2025), has been endorsed as a Decade Activity by the UN Ocean Decade programme.

Project outputs are now out: "SeaPaCS sampling log and samples", "Protocol for plastic monitoring in citizen science" and "Policy suggestions for the management of plastics collected in the Sea by Fishermen in Anzio - Rome (Italy)"

SeaPaCS project will end with a final "Scientific Aperitif" on November 25, 2023 from 5:30 pm at the headquarters of the Anzio section of the Italian Naval League.

The SeaPaCS project team in collaboration with the Raw-News press agency will hold a lesson as part of the Master in Environmental Humanities on the 3rd of November 2023 at the University Rome3.
