I’m taking part together with PartArt4OW partners (Sapienza, Raw-News and CMMI) in the 3rd Annual Mission Ocean and Waters Forum, taking place on 4 March 2025 with a series of related events in the week of 3-7 March including the European Ocean Days 2025 as part of the Mission Ocean.

The 3rd Annual Forum will be held at the Charlemagne Building, 170 Rue de la Loi, Brussels, Belgium on 4 March. This annual gathering is a unique opportunity to connect with fellow signatories of the Ocean Chart and stakeholders, exchange knowledge, and discuss the strategic focus of the Mission in the years to come and the necessary steps for the scaling, replication and deployment of innovative solutions developed by the Mission. Next to the Forum, a series of Mission related events will take place during the whole week from 3 to 7 March (consult the programme).
PartArt4OW is presenting project progress during the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030” – 3rd Annual Forum – Side event (event Room GASP, MANS and JENK in Charlemagne, Monday, 3 March 2025, 10:00 – 13:00) and showing the video-reportage by CO>SEA team “Blue Kinships.Documenting Ocean relationships“.
PartArt4OW is going to be present at the following event and the matchmaking session:

During the event, PartArt4OW is also organising the interactive exhibition including participants’ engagement activities and photographic slideshow “Blue Kinship” and “Explorations in the Plastisphere.”
The exhibition presents the result of an artistic photographic reportage that explores the multiple, diversified and unexpected forms of the emotional connections between society and the Ocean, whose strengthening is promoted by the EU Mission Starfish. The exhibition has been realised for the kick-off of the project PartArt4OW, and focuses on the current transformation of human society’s relationship with the sea and the paradigm change toward a more inclusive and systemic consideration of global ocean socio-ecological relationships, taking into account the ocean’s social and cultural value. The attendees are engaged through the “hand-on-art” activity. This entails that pictures displayed are available for interactive and creative manipulation by attendees. By cutting, pasting, drawing on them, commenting, and reassembling imagines we want attended to describe their feeling about the compositions of materialities, imaginaries and forces operating in the liquid marine space to reconceive our common belonginess to the ocean because the physicality of the artistic pieces stimulates the relationship and invites reflection. During the exhibition, the PartArt4OW PI is talking with attendees, posing questions and listening suggestions for the project. Attendees will have the possibility to write, design, sketch, note on a colourful paper board why is the Ocean important to them from an emotional perspective and vote the picture that best represent their feeling.
